Biography
Dr. Mirza Dilic received his undergraduate medical degree and specialty Internal medicine training in Sarajevo, Bosnia&Herzegovina (B&H) and Zagreb, Croatia as well as Cardiovascular training in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. Then, he was appointed at University Clinical Center Sarajevo, as Senior Lecturer/Consultant in Vascular Diseases and he established and developed Vascular Diseases (ASCVD) services for B&H, as one of the centers of excellence in the B&H. He was subsequently promoted to Full Professor at the Sarajevo University School of Medicine. He has been involved in EORP studies, EUROASPIE IV and EUROSPIRE V as National Coordinator and Principal Investigator as well as in ISACS-CT Trial. As Chair for Vascular Diseases services he introduced, for the first time, techniques of Color Doppler examination in B&H and organized International School of Color Doppler. He was one of the founders of B&H Association of Cardiologists and Angiologists (1996 -) and appointed as ESC National Coord
