Biography
John Clymer leads the U.S.-based National Forum for Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention, a nonprofit catalyst for collaboration to improve cardiovascular and metabolic health. Since 2012, he has advanced programs in 29 states and policies in 39 states that measurably improve health while expanding the Forum’s revenues sevenfold.
He is an adjunct assistant professor at Loma Linda University, a guest lecturer at Johns Hopkins, and the senior member of the Community Preventive Services Task Force. As president of Partnership for Prevention (2001–2008), he secured preventive services in Medicare, launched the National Commission on Prevention Priorities, earned recognition from Harvard Business Review, and quadrupled revenues.
A TEDMED Thought Leader, he has briefed Congress, appeared on major media outlets, authored publications on prevention, and served as a subject matter expert at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
