Doctor Puja Mehta

Puja K. Mehta, MD, FACC, FAHA holds the Stephen D. Clements Jr Professorship in Cardiology where she directs Women’s Translational Cardiovascular Research at the Emory Women’s Heart Center. She also serves as Associate Program Director for the Clinical Investigator Cardiology Fellowship Track. Dr. Mehta graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology and attended the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Emory, including 2 years of vascular biology, followed by specialized research fellowship in Women’s Heart Health at the Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center at Cedars-Sinai. Her clinical expertise includes preventive cardiology, women’s heart disease, and angina management. Dr. Mehta is an NIH-funded investigator with over 200 publications, with research focused on coronary microvascular dysfunction, cardiometabolic health, inflammation, mental stress ischemia, and cardiovascular clinical trials.
