Dr. Marquez is a top-scientist with focus research on Andersen-Tawil syndrome, electrocardiography of sudden cardiac death syndromes, including Brugada syndrome and Long QT syndrome. Special interest in atrial fibrillation, with two books published ny the Mexican Society of Cardiology. His last book is "Electrocardiography of Channelopathies" with Elsevier and was published in December 2024.
As an alumni of the French School of Electrophysiology I also speak French.
My actual position is Deputy Director of Diagnostic and Treatment Services at the famous Ignacio Chavez National Institute of Cardiology, in Mexico City, the first established Institute of Cardiology in the world.
I love editorial work, I´ve been Editor-in-Chief for Archivos de Cardiologia de Mexico, the Journal of the Mexican Society of Cardiology. Now I serve as reviewer for multiple journals and Associaate Editor for JICE and Clinical and Translational Investigation.
