Dr. Ghaith Alhatemi is an academic hospitalist and a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine/ Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, MI, USA. He graduated from Kufa University School of Medicine in the top 10th percentile on his class. He subsequently finished his Internal medicine residency training at Wayne State University/ Detroit Medical Center. In addition to ambulatory medicine teaching duties, his focus is hospital medicine with special interest in critical care, particularly cardiac intensive care. Dr. Alhatemi recently collaborated on a manuscript with friend and colleague, Dr. Abdelrahman Ahmed, entitled Comparing In-Hospital Outcomes of Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair Vs Surgical Mitral Valve Repair In Patients With Pulmonary Hypertension.
