Doctor Abel Torrelles Fortuny

My name is Abel Torrelles-Fortuny. I am a clinical cardiologist at "Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol", with a primary focus on heart failure and the management of congestion. My clinical and research interests center on optimizing care for patients with acute and chronic heart failure, improving risk stratification, and advancing strategies to detect and treat residual congestion. I am currently pursuing a PhD focused on the multiparametric detection of residual congestion at hospital discharge in patients admitted for acute heart failure, aiming to better understand its prognostic impact and to refine post-discharge risk assessment strategies.
