Biography
Professor of Cardiology, Senior Consultant, Skåne University Hospital, Lund University, Sweden. Worked in Portugal and Germany. Fellow of ESC, Member of the ESC Working Group on Atherosclerosis and Vascular Biology Nucleus. Awarded grant from the ESC for Women Transforming Leadership. Alumni Oxford Business School. Vice president of the Life-Sciences Group for Infrastructures of the Swedish Research Council. Vice-president of Translational Cardiology working group, Swedish Society of Cardiology. Previously awarded several prestigious grants from the Swedish Research Council, Wallenberg foundation, award for the most promising young clinical researcher in Skåne, best young scientist from the Swedish Medical Association and big grant from the Swedish Heart and Lung Foundation awarded by Prince Daniel, Sweden. Research group focusing on the vulnerable atherosclerotic plaque: mechanisms of development and techniques for imaging (mainly ultrasound and CT)
