Biography
Dr. Gonçalo Costa is a cardiologist at ULS Coimbra with a focus on interventional cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, and artificial intelligence in medicine. He trained in Coimbra, Portugal and completed research at the CORRIB Centre (University of Galway) under Prof. Patrick W. Serruys. His work includes clinical trials, imaging core lab analysis, and meta-analysis in cardiology. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and led national cardiology training initiatives as part of the Young Cardiologist Council (CJC). Fluent in Portuguese and English, he is passionate about education, innovation, and integrating evidence-based practice with emerging technologies.
