Priscilla McElhinney is a Clinical Research Associate for Dr. Damini Dey’s quantitative image analysis lab at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Biomedical Imaging Research Institute. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science. During her time at UCLA, she was a research associate and Head Coordinator of an undergraduate clinical research and patient care program that facilitated trial enrollment of ischemic stroke patients admitted to the Emergency Department and analyzed brain MRIs of stroke patients to predict salvageable brain tissue. Since September 2018, Priscilla has worked with Dr. Dey investigating clinical use of cardiac computed tomography for assessing cardiovascular risk. She aspires to pursue a career in medicine and continue contributing to research advancements as a future physician in the United States.
