Biography
Dr. Acosta is a Diplomate of the Philippine Heart Association and a Fellow of the Philippine College of Physicians. She served as the Deputy Chief for Research of the HB Calleja Heart and Vascular Institute in SLMC-QC during her last year of fellowship training. Her researches beginning 2007 are remarkable. She has presented her work entitled, Diagnostic Accuracy of 2D-Echocardiography versus Cardiac Catheterization: A Meta-Analysis and Successful Ascending Aortic Replacement and Aortic Valve Repair under Deep Hypothermia in a 52 Year-Old Male with Chronic Aortic Type A Dissection: A Rare Case at the ESC Congress in 2019 and 2020 respectively where both were rated as one of the best abstracts/ clinical cases. She has also presented another meta-analysis locally and abroad in 2013, and it was published in the American Gastroenterological Association in 2014. Her case report on May-Thurner Syndrome has also gained recognition locally and in the ISTH 2013 in Netherlands.
