Miss Sara Oppi

University of Zurich, Schlieren (Switzerland)

Sara Oppi, 1991, obtained her Master in Molecular Biology in February 2016 at the University of Milan. She performed a master thesis in the laboratory of Stem Cell Biology and Pharmacology of Neurodegenerative Disease in Milan. In the same year, Sara started her PhD at the Centre for Molecular Cardiology, University of Zurich, in the group of Prof. Dr. med. Thomas F. Lüscher. Her research addresses the molecular and metabolic signalling in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, with a particular focus on the role of transcriptional regulators that mediate the macrophages inflammation in the early phase of the disease.
