Biography
Professor Franck Thuny is a cardiologist with expertise in cardio-oncology, endocarditis, and cardiovascular imaging.
He is the Head of the Department of Cardiology at Nord Hospital-Aix-Marseille University.
His research work has resulted in more than 200 publications and is widely cited internationally (H-index = 55). He contributed to the development of the clinical practice guidelines of the ESC on endocarditis (2009, 2015) and cardio-oncology (2022).
Actively involved in structuring cardio-oncology in France, he founded in 2015 the Cardio-Oncology Mediterranean Centre in Marseille and has directed the French University Certificate in Cardio-Oncology since 2018. He is also an expert for the French National Academy of Medicine and the Institut National du Cancer, and a former Vice-President of the Cardio-Oncology Group of the French Society of Cardiology.
During 2025, Professor Thuny served as a consultant within the cardio-oncology team at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.
