Prof. Dr. Piotr Suwalski is a director of the National Medical Institute of the Ministry of Interior and Administration and professor and head of the Department of Cardiac Surgery and Transplantology of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration and Center of Postgraduate Medical Edication in Warsaw, Poland. He was born in Warsaw, Poland, in 1975. He received a degree from the Medical University of Warsaw, Poland, in 2000 and a Ph.D., from the same University, in 2004. 2003 and 2004 he worked in the Heart Center Leipzig, University of Leipzig, Germany under prof. dr. FW Mohr.. In 2010 he received a professor degree at the Silesian Medical University. His research interests focus on the minimally invasive, thoracoscopic and robotic cardiac surgery, surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation and reconstructive techniques of the heart valves. Active in teaching and proctorship globally. Co-Author of about 300 publications including Treatment Guidelines.
