Prof. Balabanski is a distinguished member of the Bulgarian Society of Cardiology, a leading cardiologist in the country, and a prominent expert in invasive electrophysiology. He is among the founders of modern electrophysiology in the country and has worked in the field for over 30 years. Being an excellent mentor Prof. Balabanski has contributed considerably to the development of electrophysiology in the country by training most of the EP specialists in Bulgaria. He is currently the head of the EP lab at University St. Anna Hospital in Sofia.
