Doctor Marc Zimmermann

La Tour Hospital, Geneva (Switzerland)

Graduation in Geneva, Switzerland. Training in Internal Medicin and general cardiology from 1977 to 1984. Main interest in clinical electrophysiology since 1984 with special interest in high-resolution electrocardiography and Holter, with one year in Paris in the department of Prof. Philippe Coumel. Back in Geneva, he started a program of radiofrequency catheter ablation in 1990 and developed this activity first at the University Hospital then at the Hopital de La Tour in Meyrin. Privat Docent from the university of Geneva, he was fellow of the ESC, member of the swiss society of cardiology and an active member of the RETAC group. He retired in 2015 but has maintained some cardiologic activities in developing countries, essentially in Cameroon for teaching and clinical research and in Georgia for starting an ablation program in an hospital in Tbilisi.
