Biography
Dr. Vaseghi is Associate Professor of Medicine and Cardiology and a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is also a faculty member of the the Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Physiology Interdepartmental Program. She is the Director of Clinical and Translational Research Programs at the UCLA Cardiac Arrhythmia Center and Co-chair of the Academic Medicine College for medical students at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. In addition to practicing electrophysiology, Dr. Vaseghi run an active NIH funded research laboratory that studies mechanisms of arrhythmias, the role of the autonomic nervous system in the genesis of ventricular arrhythmias and progression of heart failure, and the role of neuromodulatory therapies in treatment of arrhythmias. She serves as a section editor of the journal JACC Clinical Electrophysiology, and has a special interest in women’s health, especially as it relates to cardiovascular disease.
