Biography
Federico Cecchini, MD, MStat is an Italian cardiologist and clinical electrophysiologist. Born in 1989 in a small village in the hills of the Province of Pesaro and Urbino, he grew up between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine mountains. He graduated in Medicine at the University of Milan in 2014 and completed his residency in Cardiovascular Medicine at the same university in 2020. He then trained in cardiac electrophysiology at Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 2019 to 2021. He worked at Maria Cecilia Hospital (2021–2024) and IRCCS Sacro Cuore Don Calabria Hospital (2024–2025), and since January 2025 he has been an arrhythmologist at Santa Maria delle Croci Hospital in Ravenna (Italy). He holds certification from the EHRA and completed an MSc in biostatistics & epidemiology at University of Milano-Bicocca. He is currently a PhD student at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He also volunteered as a physician in Ethiopia. Outside medicine, he practices scuba diving and freediving.
