Miss Oi Kuan CHOONG

Oi Kuan Choong is a PhD candidate in the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. She received her M.Sc. in Molecular Biotechnology from University Putra Malaysia. She is currently working in Dr. Patrick C.H. Hsieh’s lab, where she investigates the molecular mechanisms of heart response after injury, in particular pertaining to the role of lncRNAs in heart diseases. Her research interests and passion include translational medicine and therapy for the purpose of advancing the medical treatments for cardiovascular diseases. She is also an avid reader and enjoys travelling the world.
