Biography
Dirk Sibbing, MD, FESC, MHBA is Professor of Cardiology and Angiologist, being affiliated with the Privatklink Lauterbacher Mühle and Ludwig-Maximilians University (LMU) in Munich. Prof. Sibbing trained and worked as fellow at the Deutsches Herzzentrum München from 2004-2012. From 2012-2019 he worked as senior doctor and interventional cardiologist at the department of cardiology at LMU Munich. From 2019 on he is affiliated with the Privatklinik Lauterbacher Mühle and LMU Munich. Prof. Sibbing contributed as active task force member to a number of national and international cardiology treatment guidelines (e.g. ESC 2020 guidelines on NSTE-ACS, ESC 2018 guidelines on myocardial revascularization) and he is listed among the 50 most frequently cited cardiovascular researchers in the German speaking area and has (co)-authored >200 articles with over 20,000 citations (H-index =55) in peer-reviewed journals, including: NEJM, The Lancet, JACC, Circulation and the European Heart Journal
