Biography
Michał Czapla, Assoc. Prof., PhD, RD, EMT-P, FESC, at the Wroclaw Medical University (Poland), serves as Dean of Health Sciences and Head of the Division of Scientific Research and Innovation in Emergency Medical Service, Department of Emergency Medical Service, Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery. He is also affiliated with the Group of Research in Care (GRUPAC) at the University of La Rioja (Spain) and the Nursing Care and Education Research Group (GRIECE) at the University of Valencia (Spain). His scientific interests include nutrition, nutrition and cardiovascular health, nutritional status in patients with cardiovascular diseases, cardiology, lifestyle medicine, LGBT health, and emergency medicine. He is particularly interested in the association between nutritional status and mortality in cardiovascular diseases and life-threatening conditions, as well as health inequalities and access to care in LGBT populations.
