Biography
Dr. Jana Schellenberg is a board-certified cardiologist and specialist in internal medicine with additional qualifications in sports medicine, and emergency medicine. Her expertise includes cardiac imaging, diagnostics, and preventive cardiology. Her research focuses on myocardial function, long-term cardiovascular effects of COVID-19 in athletes and post-COVID patients, and exercise-based prevention of cancer therapy–related cardiac dysfunction. She serves as a member of the Sports Cardiology Nucleus of the German Society of Cardiology, speaker of the Sports Cardiology Group within the German Association of Sports Medicine, and Young Ambassador for Preventive Cardiology in Germany. Passionate about education, she promotes accessible training and prevention in clinical practice. As an endurance athlete and mountain sports enthusiast, she integrates her commitment to physical activity into both her professional and personal life.
