After medical school Dr Michiel Kemme was employed at the Centre for Human Drug Research in Leiden, The Netherlands where he acquired his accreditation as a Clinical Pharmacologist. In 2003 he received his PhD on endothelial function derived from plasma concentrations of circulating compounds. He was subsequently trained as a Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the Leiden University Medical Center, The Netherlands. He received EHRA accreditation in Pacing and Invasive EP in 2008 and 2009 respectively. Since 2009 he is working as a consultant cardiologist at the Amsterdam University Medical Center, location VUMC. His main focus in research is improvement of patient care in catheter ablations of cardiac arrythmias.
