Doctor Ami Bhatt

Dr. Ami Bhatt is the Chief Innovation Officer of the American College of Cardiology and a practicing cardiologist and researcher. A graduate from Harvard College and the Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Bhatt completed her medicine and pediatrics residency, cardiovascular and adult congenital heart disease fellowships at the Harvard Medical School hospitals. Previously the director of Outpatient and TeleCardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, she founded the MGH ACHD telemedicine program in 2013. Her research has centered on identifying and implementing solutions to overcoming access barriers to cardiovascular and telemedicine care. in 2022, as the new ACC CIO, she provides leadership and expertise to grow the robust and comprehensive ACC Innovation program with a specific focus on collaborative intelligence and health equity in support of the College's mission to transform cardiovascular care and improve heart health.
