Dr. Cian P. McCarthy is an academic general cardiologist and cardiovascular imager at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed medical school at University College Cork in Ireland before undertaking internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He holds a Masters of Science in Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. McCarthy's research focuses on the diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome and the primary and secondary prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
