Biography
Effie Polyzogopoulou, is Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
She was trained in Emergency Medicine in New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital, NYC, USA.
She is:
1. Vice-Chair and Training Program Director of the Academic Emergency Department of Attikon University Hospital,Athens Greece.
2. Member of HFA Acute Heart Failure Committee since 2020, Fellow of HFA (FHFA) since 2021.
3.Chair of the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EUSEM) Ultrasound Section since March 2022.
4.Country Lead for Greece in EUSEM Research Network since 2019.
5. Invited speaker in 2019, 2021 and 2023 HFA Congress,European Emergency Medicine and National Congresses.
6.Examiner in the European Board Examination in Emergency Medicine, Member of the Emergency Medicine Examination Reference Group for Europe (EMERGE)
Her research work and scientific interest are focused on Emergency Ultrasonography/Echocardiography and Acute Heart Failure.
