Doctor Iain Gillingham

Dr Iain Gillingham has been a Registered Nurse since 1999, and has gained experience in a variety of specialities and locations. He is a lecturer in adult nursing and researcher in the Centre for Cardiovascular Health at Edinburgh Napier University. Iain is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has a PhD exploring the cardiac cath lab healthcare system in the UK. His research interests include cardiovascular health, including workforce development and patient experience in interventional cardiology. Iain has an international presence in facilitating the development of cardiac nursing practice and policy. He holds a committee position on the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI) and has presented his work at many international conferences including the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the Association of Cardiovascular Nursing & Allied Professions (ACNAP) and EuroPCR.
