Biography
Dr. Holli DeVon is a Professor Emerita and the Audrienne H. Moseley Endowed Chair Emerita at the UCLA School of Nursing. Her research focuses on the symptoms of acute coronary syndromes (ACS), stable angina, and symptom management. Her ACS symptom checklist has been used by investigators in Australia, Brazil, Iran, Lebanon, Turkey, the Philippines, Taiwan, and the UK. She has been awarded more than $12 million in NIH funding for her research. Her most recent grant is a randomized controlled trial to test the effectiveness of acupuncture for the symptoms of stable angina (R01, 2023-2027). She was a Fulbright Scholar in Rwanda in 2018 and studied early onset of cardiovascular disease in individuals with HIV. She was inducted into the Sigma International Researcher Hall of Fame in 2020 and is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and the American Heart Association. Dr. DeVon has published more than 150 articles in multidisciplinary journals and written numerous commentaries.
