Jairo Nunes joined the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre Clinical Trials and Translation Unit, University of Toronto, as a Cardiology Clinical & Research Fellow in 2022. He is actively pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical heart failure research at InCor - University of São Paulo, focusing on advancing our understanding and treatment of heart failure.
Nunes completed his Internal Medicine and Cardiology training at the University of São Paulo and the InCor Heart Institute in Brazil in 2019. He was recognized for his leadership and expertise by being named chief fellow in 2020. Following this, he embarked on an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation fellowship from 2021 to 2022 at InCor, specializing in complex heart failure cases and heart transplantation.
