Marco Zimarino is the Director of the UOC Cardiology – UTIC of Chieti and Ortona (ASL 2 Abruzzo) since 2022. - Resident in Cardiology in Bologna (1988-1992) and was a Fellow in Interventional Cardiology in Paris (1992-1994), PhD in 2006. - Interventional Cardiologist in Chieti (1998-2022). - Head of the Cath Lab in Gualdo Tadino (PG, Umbria - Italy 1994-1998). - Visiting Professor at Washington Hospital Center (1999) - Consultant Interventional Cardiologist in Winnipeg, Canada (2000). As primary operator, he has performed over 7,000 coronary angiographies, 4,000 coronary angioplasties, and 300 transcatheter valve procedures. Author of over 250 scientific articles and editor of 3 textbooks. - Holder of a patent for an expandable bifurcated stent published in 1999. Married since 1995, with 2 sons.
