Dr Troy Puar is the Head of Department of Endocrinology and Adrenal Hypertension Center at Changi General Hospital, Singapore. His interest is in adrenal hypertension and primary aldosteronism. He spent a one year fellowship at Radboud University Medical Centre, Nijmegen, Netherlands. After completing his PhD in NUS, Singapore, he is currently funded by the National Medical Research Council Singapore as a clinician scientist. He has led several clinical studies, including a multi-center trial using non-invasive PET-CT to identify unilateral surgically-curable primary aldosteronism. Dr Puar has a strong passion in education and research, and has supervised numerous medical students, junior doctors and clinical fellows on clinical research. He is the current President of the ASEAN Network of Adrenal Hypertension (ANAH) and hopes to improve treatment of Adrenal Hypertension in the region. He enjoys tennis and football and speaks English, Chinese, and basic Malay and Dutch.
