Dr. Luetkens is an attending physician at the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the University Hospital Bonn. He leads the section of cardiovascular imaging, is head of magnetic resonance imaging, and research group leader of the Quantitative Imaging Lab Bonn (QILaB). His research expertise lies in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging with focus on myocarditis. His key competency is the evaluation and development of new MRI techniques to quantify inflammation and fibrosis, especially in the myocardium. He developed new quantitative methods for CT and MRI body composition analysis, and he and his research group is working on deep learning methods to automate quantification procedures and to improve the diagnosis and prediction in various diseases.
