Dr. Osorio is a native of Brazil where he earned his medical degree. He completed training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. After completing his training, he served as an Assistant Professor at UAB for 3 years and was the Director of Electrophysiology and the Catheterization Laboratory at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. Dr Osorio is the director of electrophysiology at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. He specializes in the treatment of heart rhythm disorders and complex ablation, focusing on ablation of atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. Dr. Osorio's main interest and expertise has been EP lab standardization and efficiency, and also zero fluoroscopy ablations. He has performed thousands of ablations without fluoroscopy. Grandview Medical Center receives physicians from all over the world to learn these techniques.
