Professor Jelena Celutkiene

Prof. Dr. Jelena Celutkiene is one of the most active doctors in Lithuania. It has been testified by nominating her as the Cardiologist of the Year in Lithuania in 2017. Throughout her career, Celutkiene has been significantly contributing to the efficiency of both diagnosing and managing heart failure. She has 25 years of clinical cardiology practice specializing in imaging and heart failure and 20 years of research and teaching experience including project management, scientific organizational work, grant writing, lecturing, and supervision of graduate, PhD students and residents. Her main research interests include stress echocardiography, coronary artery disease, chronic and acute heart failure, heart failure biomarkers. In Lithuania she has initiated a specialized multidisciplinary out-patient heart failure service and training of specialized heart failure nurses, developed HF awareness campaign, organized Baltic HF meeting in 2014 and HFA National Societies Summit in Vilnius.
