Dr. Andre Dippenaar, MD, MMed, MSc, FESC, FACC, cardiac critical care and advanced heart failure practitioner from South Africa, based at the Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, UK. Passionate about advancing critical care cardiology and improving acute cardiovascular care outcomes, he was the first ESC Level 2 certified Acute Cardiovascular Care (ACVC) practitioner in Africa. He aims to spearhead the field on the continent, fostering global collaboration and research. His interests encompass advanced heart failure treatment, cardiac transplant, mechanical circulatory support, and systemic diseases affecting the cardiovascular system. In November 2024, he earned an MSc in Critical Care from the University of Edinburgh and received ESC Heart Failure Association certification. A frequent speaker and clinical teacher, he is actively involved in the ESC.
