Dr. Gemma Vilahur is a Group Leader at the ICCC-Research Institute of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (Barcelona). She has published 140 articles (H=39) including original manuscripts, consensus and position papers, and reviews. She is and has been principal investigator and co-investigator of multiple research projects (National and European projects either funded by public agencies or industry). She has been awarded several times by the ESC, has been awarded by L’Oreal-UNESCO foundation - for Women in Science (2012), and has received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the CBCS-ESC (2019). As per positions of trust within the ESC, she is Chairperson of the Working Group on Thrombosis and Member of the Council of Basic Cardiovascular Science. Besides, she is a Councilor of the European Society for Clinical Investigation ( 2019-2023). She is co-author of 4 patents and co-founder of 3 Spin-Off.
