Dr. Vilahur is a Group Leader at the Research Institute of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau Barcelona. She has authored 187 articles (PubMed; 7100 citations, H-index=46), including original manuscripts, reviews and position/consensus articles and has contributed to over 35 book chapters. She is and has been an investigator and co-investigator of 50 research projects (National and European projects, either government or industry-funded). As a result of her research, she has received multiple Scientific Awards and Grants, including the L'Oréal-UNESCO Foundation for Women in Science Award (2012) and the Outstanding Achievement Award of the European Society of Cardiology for her scientific career (2019). She is the past Chair of the Working Group on Thrombosis (2020-2022) of the European Society of Cardiology and is the current President of the European Society for Clinical Investigation (2023-2027). She is the author of 4 patents and has created 3 spin-offs.
