Doctor Dany Haroun

Dany Haroun, MD, is a cardiologist at ZGT in the Netherlands, focusing on heart failure and non-invasive imaging. He is certified by the ESC Heart Failure Association. He studied medicine at the University of Amsterdam and trained in cardiology at Medisch Spectrum Twente. Since 2022 he has been Young Cardiac Society Representative for the Netherlands to the ESC, serving on the Clinical Case Reviewing Committee and chairing sessions at ESC 2024. He authored the national guide to the European Exam in Core Cardiology, distributed across Dutch training centres by the Netherlands Society of Cardiology. Education is central to his work. He has served on the board of the Society's Junior Chamber and on the representative council of the Federation of Employed Doctors (LAD). He teaches acute cardiac care and co-founded a heart failure podcast. Outside medicine he writes and produces music, which has more in common than you'd expect: both require careful listening and rhythm.
