Professor Kalman Toth

Prof. Toth is a full Professor and Chair of 1st Department of Medicine at the University of Pecs. He is a specialist in internal medicine, cardiology and anesthesia and intensive care. He worked at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and at the Division of Cardiology, University of Toronto. The main areas of his scientific work are hemorheology and experimental cardiology. He received a Ph.D. degree in 1992, and Sc.D. in 2003. In his Ph.D. program, 36 colleagues have received their Ph.D. degree. He is a leading member of several national and international scientific organizations and editorial boards. He held several leading positions at the University of Pecs (Vice-Dean for Scientific Affairs, Vice-President of the Medical Center, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovational Affairs). He is the author of 264 peer-reviewed papers with a cumulative impact factor of 384,184 and 5202 citations.
