Biography
Abdul Wahed Sidiqi graduated as an MD from Kabul University of Medical Science (2001) and became an assistant professor of cardiology there in 2004. He completed a specialization program in Internal medicine at Aliabad Teaching Hospital in 2006 and a Cardiology fellowship in the Netherlands (2008). In 2009, founded Ariana Hospital in Kabul, launching a pioneering cardiology practice and echocardiography training for doctors, notably advancing female cardiology training in Afghanistan and had trained over 100 doctors. Honored as a Trainer of Echocardiography by Afghanistan's MoPH in 2012, he introduced BLS and ACLS training in Afghanistan for the first time, after completing online ACLS program at Virginia University (2014). He earned a master's in invasive cardiology from Avicenna Tajik Medical University, Tajikistan (2017) and founded Ariana Medical Complex state of the art Cardiology center (2018). He was elected a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) in 2023.
