Consultant Cardiologist and network lead for Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) in Northern Ireland working at the Royal Victoria Hospital within the Belfast Trust. Graduated from Queens University Belfast in 2002, and entered the specialty training programme for adult cardiology in Northern Ireland in 2006. Attained Doctor of medicine degree in 2008 and through 2010-2011 worked in the ACHD department in the Royal Brompton Hospital in London. Spent final year in training working in Paediatric Cardiology in the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. Clinical interests cover all aspects of ACHD care including inpatient and outpatient care, transition from paediatric cardiology, heart disease and pregnancy, pulmonary hypertension in ACHD patients and also trans-oesophageal echocardiography, in particular during interventional ACHD and structural heart procedures.
