Miss Laura Marijke Willemsen

Laura Willemsen studied Medicine at the University of Utrecht and graduated in 2015 after which she became as a PhD student at the Department of Cardiology in the St. Antonius Hospital Nieuwegein, supervised by Dr. J.M. ten Berg. Laura is coordinating investigator of the multicentre, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled POPular CABG trial, of which the results are presented at this ESC congress. In addition to that, Laura`s other research activities focus on cardiac surgery and thrombosis and haemostasis.
