My name is David Edward Youssef, an Australian born of Egyptian background and have been privileged to be guided in life by hard working and supportive parents. I graduated from The University of Sydney, with a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2004 before working as a registered clinical pharmacist. My passion to learn more was possible in 2006 after entering Griffith University, Gold Coast and completing a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery before returning to Sydney. I was fortunate enough to have wonderful mentors all throughout my medical training and was given the amazing opportunity of a Paediatric Cardiology Fellowship at The Children’s Hospital Westmead in 2016. After working in Westmead, I received a Paediatric Echocardiography fellowship completing training in 3-Dimensional echocardiography, transthoracic echocardiography and trans-esophageal imaging at The Stollery Children’s Hospital, Edmonton Alberta, Canada.
