Associate Professor Dabit Arzamendi Aizpurua

Dr. Arzamendi is an interventional cardiologist whose main focus is structural heart intervention. He did his Cardiology training at Hospital Clinic in Barcelona and then moved to Canada to do his interventional fellowship. He was trained at the Montreal Heart Institute (Montreal) in coronary and structural heart intervention and at Saint Justine Hospital in congenital heart intervention. He decide to complete his training with a fellowship completely focused on structural heart disease intervention at Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston). He developed the structural heart interventional program at Hospital de Sant Pau (Barcelona) where he works nowadays. He performs all kind of structural heart interventions, but percutaneous mitral valve intervention has become his main focus.
