Biography
Prof. Marek Jastrzębski is a Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist at the Jagiellonian University Hospital in Krakow, Poland; graduated from Jagiellonian University in 1995 and trained at the First Dep. of Cardiology UJ. After multiple visits at the leading cardiac centres in Europe and US he introduced new treatment options in his EP lab: ICDs, RF abl., 3D, fluoroless abl, CRT, cryoballoons, His bundle pacing etc. He performed > 8500 EP procedures including > 1000 WPW, > 600 CRT and > 1000 His/LBBP implants. He has a strong research record (> 300 peer reviewed articles) and especially values his CRT and CSP research (programmed LBBP stimulation, ECG criteria), VT score and WPW24.com method. As the first electrophysiologist in Poland he obtained both EHRA certificates (“Clinical Cardiac Pacing” 2006, “Invasive Electrophysiology” 2007). He is passionate about EP education and research - hoping to advance both as the current President Elect of the Polish Heart Rhythm Association.
