Dr Fonteles Ritt, MD, PhD is the Head for the Exercise Cardiology Department at Hospital Cardio Pulmonar in Salvador-Bahia-Brazil, where he also chief the Clinical Research Department. He is also Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Bahiana School of Medicine and Public Heatlh.
Made his PhD in cardiology at Federal University of Sao Paulo when studied the role of CPX test in Chagas Cardiomyopathy. He did his cardiology and exercise cardiology fellow at Dante Pazzanese Cardiology Institute in Sao Paulo. In the research field he is dedicated to clinical research with focus on CPX test use for prognostic issues, sports cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation. He is the actual Scientific Director of the Exercise Cardiology Department (DERC) of the Brazilian Society of Cardiology.
