Doctor Jonathan Behar

Jonathan is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist currently working at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK. He qualified from the Royal Free and University College Medical School in 2006 and trained in general internal medicine and cardiology in London. He undertook fellowship training in electrophysiology and devices at the Barts Heart Centre. He obtained a PhD from Kings College London working on image guidance for cardiac resynchronisation therapy. This platform, GUIDE CRT has a registered patent (joint with Siemens Healthcare / KCL) in the US, China and Europe and is undergoing rigorous testing in an international randomised trial to evaluate its efficacy in optimisation of delivering CRT. The platform was a shortlisted finalist for the EHRA Innovation Award in Vienna 2017. He is a Deputy Editor of the European Heart Journal Case Reports Journal and a past fellow of the NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur Programme.
