Professor Luis Beck da Silva

He holds a PhD in Cardiology and Cardiovascular Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) (2004). Fellowship in Heart Failure at the University of Ottawa, Canada (2.5 years). He is currently Professor of Medicine at UFRGS, Professor of Post-Graduation in Cardiovascular Sciences at UFRGS, cardiologist at Hospital Moinhos de Vento, acting in the Heart Failure and Transplant Group of the same hospital. He was the President of the Brazilian Congress of Heart Failure in 2017 (DEIC 2017). He is currently President of the Society of Cardiology of RS (SOCERGS) and Chief-Editor of ABC Heart Failure & Cardiomyopathy Journal. Scopus h-index = 21 and citations = 1,617 as of April 2025.
