Doctor Shinichi Goto

Shinichi Goto is an Associate Professor at Tokai University School of Medicine. He is a fully-trained cardiologist/physician and an accomplished computer scientist. He completed medical school at Keio University School of Medicine and then trained in internal medicine and cardiology at Keio University Hospital. He earned his Ph.D. degree in medicine from Keio University School of Medicine. While in the Ph.D. course, he was selected as the Japanese delegate for the international High-performance computing summer school and was chosen as the finalist in the contest of parallelized programming held in the school. He was also awarded the Initiative on Promotion of Supercomputing for Young or Women Researchers, Information Technology Center award from Tokyo University. He moved to the US in 2019, joined One Brave Idea as a postdoctoral research fellow, and worked on applying complex machine learning in the medical field.
