Yang is an academic cardiologist in training working at St. Bartholomew's hospital, London. He has an interest in health economics and decision making processes and is the co-author of an upcoming book examining cognitive biases in medicine, entitled: "Thinking about thinking: a prescription for healthcare improvement". Yang studied medicine at the University of Oxford and has been working in London since 2013. During his internal medicine training, he won the Royal College of Physicians Teale Essay prize. Yang began his Cardiology training in 2017 obtaining an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship hosted by UCL. He has completed an Executive MSc at the London School of Economics and Political Science (2018-2021) with Distinction, and received funding support from an ESC scholarship. Since 2021, he has been undertaking a PhD at the Institute of Health Informatics at UCL.
