After his PhD on central hemodynamics and echo in 1995, he worked in general cardiology, anesthesia and intensive/intermediate cardiac care. From 2007 consultant in Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) and cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDS), including lead extractions, at Oslo University Hospital. Established Interventional CRT (iCRT) at this hospital in 2012, as (one of?) the first in Europe. Invited speaker on iCRT at European and US international conventions. Proctoring iCRT in Scandinavia and Europe. Established and heads the only industry-independent, national advanced CIEDS programming and troubleshooting course in Norway. Head of the Norwegian ECG-interpretation specialist course. Previous head of the Norwegian Pacemaker Registry. Lecturing at courses in cardiology and CRM. Rides his off road bike in the woods to keep in shape. Rides his BMW 1200RT and several vintage, British motorbikes with pleasure.
