Biography
Dr Jessica Artico is a Consultant Cardiologist in Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions and Imaging (CMR and TTE) at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London.
Dr Artico completed her PhD in CMR at UCL under Professors James Moon and Charlotte Manisty, following specialist cardiology training in Italy and post-CCT training in inherited cardiac conditions and advanced imaging.
Her research interests centre on the genetic basis of cardiomyopathies, genotype-phenotype correlation, and the identification of early disease predictors and novel therapeutic targets, with a growing focus on artificial intelligence applications in cardiovascular imaging. She has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications, including first-author papers in JACC and Circulation, and holds an h-index of 27.
She is an experienced educator and mentor, having supervised medical students, thesis candidates, and international fellows.
